As I have mentioned before. I love cereal. Even if I don't have it for breakfast I will usually end up eating a bowl some time during the day. Now Kellogg's Smart Start line is a pretty good group of cereal. They recently came out with a new flavor: Strawberry Oat Bites.
The verdict? This cereal sucks. The main problem? The strawberry flavor seems to be more theory than reality. You really can't taste it at all. They need to get more flavor in there. Like Frosted Mini-Wheats. Also, when you compare it to other Smart Start cereals it
slightly lacks the nutritional punch you get from them.
I give it 2 out of 5 bowls.
Don't ask me why I decided to give it a rating...it just came to me.
I think you're on to something with this cereal review thing. :) If you just did one a week, you could spend one-fourth of the year just going through all the varieties of Cheerios!
ReplyDeleteCan't stand cereal with milk.
ReplyDeleteI love milk; I love cereal. But these--to me--are two great tastes that don't taste great together.
Not sure why.
Radiodad, Went I first started my blog I was considering doing an all-cereal blog. I planned a whole "Cereal Week", but my natural procrastinativeness instincts took over.
ReplyDeleteJeff, I feel the same way about cereal with out milk. It is just so dry, like eating sand.
Love Frosted Mini-Wheats. Would eat them with orange juice if I had to.
ReplyDeleteBTW, are you listening to Ween? Voodoo lady is a great song.
Ha! Gee, P-cat, I didn't think anyone looked at the music stuff to the side. I do love me some Ween though. One of my favorite bands, and since their fans are used to them being so schizophrenic with their music they can work in any genre and get away with it.
