That was a surprise.
He went to Flagstaff, AZ and I asked why. "Well, as you know me and Mandy have been talking about moving there for a long time now."
No. No I did not know that.
Friday night I am sitting there and I get text message. They got married. It was quite a shock, right out of left field. The more I thought about it, though, the more it perfectly fit my friend. It was so him.
I gave gave him a hearty "congratulations", and went back to watching TV

Breafast time is fun time!

This morning I headed over to Waffle House for breakfast. I don't get to one very often as there is any close to my house, and I really like their pecan waffles. One of the things I love about waffle house is that no matter when you go someone weird will be there. Late night you get multitudes, but this morning I just had the one. Usually it is a customer. I have had a few really weird waitresses there, but today the chef working the griddle was weird. I was fascinated by him.
First: At one point he was putting some bread under the counter, and when he was done he bowed to the counter. Like the image to the right.
Second: He was putting another loaf in the cubby hole by griddle, and he made gun motion to the loaf.
Finally: I have never seen anyone butter toast with such flourish, and then cut the bread in half. It was a scene man.
He also had a bunch of other tics and such. He did seem to be enjoying himself, and his work. I thought that was cool. I hope this doesn't come off as rude. I don't mean for it to. Lord knows I've done a ton of weird stuff.

Just a few notes

Last post on house sitting for now. Last night I had everything packed up in my truck, and I was literally walking out the door, and I took one last look see around the house to see if I forgot to take anything with me. I did see one last pile of doggie doo on the rug. I, of course did my

At It Again
Well, I am once again house sitting. This time it is for my old roommate, as he his girlfriend and her daughter are on vacation. House sitting is kind of a mini-vacation for me as well. It gets me out of my house for a little while. Away my current roommate and the dogs there as well.
One of the main reasons I like house sitting at this house is that somehow it is actually closer to work than my house. I am probably 10 minutes away at my house. It might be 5 from my friend’s. I just have to go through one light and school zone, so I can just zip to work.
My main concern is that this is the house were I have the most responsibilities. I have to take care of two dogs. Including a twelve year-old dachshund. Two cats. Feed the fish. Water the plants on the porch. Make sure the new tree is well watered (don’t over water), and all the other stuff.
Off on a tangent:
I always like looking at the relationship dynamic between animals in homes and such. I was surprised that the pit bull completely defers to the dachshund on most things. Before Tuck (the pit bull) was fed outside, now both dogs eat inside. The first night I fed them, he just laid down beside me while Kyra ate. Once she was done then he got up and ate. It amazed me especially with how aggressive he was with the other dog (Charlie) when he was there. Of course Tuck in general has calmed down from when I first got to know him, he used to act like the Tasmanian Devil.
Well, I should be back home Sunday night, so just a few more days.
